The rules, in plain English

YConnect ("YConnect", "we", "us") operates yconnect.pro and yprofile.pro and publishes YProfiles: public introduction pages made by people, for people. These Terms, together with the Privacy, Cookies, Rules, Content, Payments, Disclaimers and Your rights tabs on this page, form the whole agreement between you and us and replace anything said before.

We are a neutral hosting platform for user-submitted introductions. We are not an employer, agency, broker, background-check provider, escrow, marketplace, or party to any deal you strike with someone you found here.

YConnect works without a login. Your device holds your links and a recovery code; you are responsible for keeping your device, your email inbox, your PIN and any sync code private. Anyone holding your manage link, PIN or sync code can edit your YProfile, so treat them like a password.

A YProfile is public: anyone with the link can open it and search engines may index it. Only put things there that you are happy for a stranger, an employer or a journalist to see. Nothing goes public until you press publish.

You keep ownership of what you write. By publishing, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, translate, cache, display and distribute that content — including generating share images, link previews and QR codes — for the purpose of operating and promoting YConnect. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already shared by others, cached by search engines, or held in backups until they expire.

You must be at least 16 years old (18 where your local law requires it) to create or manage a YProfile. YConnect is not for children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child's data is here, email help@yconnect.pro and we will remove it.

You may not use YConnect if you are barred from doing so by sanctions or export-control law, or if we have previously removed you.

YConnect is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, limit usage, impose rate limits, or take a profile offline for maintenance, security, legal or abuse reasons at any time, with or without notice. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and we are not liable for downtime, data loss or missed opportunities.

Free features may change or end. Paid features are covered by the Payments tab. Export your data regularly from Settings — that backup is your safety net, not ours.

You may stop using YConnect and delete your YProfiles at any time. We may suspend or permanently remove any profile, vouch, intro, list or user — with or without notice — if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken, if content is unlawful or harmful, if there is fraud or abuse, or if we are required to by law.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination do survive: licences to content already shared, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law.

YConnect, YProfile, YProfile+, YVouch, YIntro, the Y mark, the Founder Seal, the site design, code and copy are ours or our licensors'. You may share links and screenshots of public YProfiles. You may not copy our code or design, scrape the service, resell access, remove branding, or use our names and marks in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership without written permission.

YProfiles contain links to websites, social profiles, phone numbers and email addresses we do not control. We also rely on third-party providers for hosting, email delivery, storage and AI processing. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security or conduct, and following an external link is at your own risk.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in New York County have exclusive jurisdiction — unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally, in which case that right is unaffected.

Before filing anything, email help@yconnect.pro and give us 30 days to fix it; most problems are solved that way. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to bring claims individually and not as part of a class action. Any claim must be brought within one year of the event that caused it.

We may update this page. The date at the top always shows the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on the site. Continuing to use YConnect after a change means you accept the new version. If you don't, delete your profiles and stop using the service.
