The rules, in plain English
Last updated January 2026. If a sentence here is unclear, that's our fault — email customerfirst@aimasterwork.com and we'll fix it.
We don't verify anyone
YConnect is a place to publish an introduction, not a background-check service. We do not confirm names, licences, qualifications, insurance, reviews or anything else written on a YProfile. Everything you read was typed by a person or read off a public web page or photo.
Do your own checks before you hire, pay or meet someone. A YProfile is a starting point for a conversation, nothing more.
The Founder Seal
A few YProfiles carry a Founder Seal. It is given to people who move the community forward through real vouches, thoughtful intros, and customers who stay. Each one is awarded by hand, never sold, and can be taken back at any time.
It is one person's personal opinion — not a check of licences, insurance, qualifications or work quality, and not a guarantee of anything. Do your own checks exactly as you would for any other YProfile.
Your own YProfile
A YProfile is public: anyone with the link can open it, and search engines may index it. Only put things there you're happy for a stranger to see. Nothing is public until you press publish.
You keep ownership of what you write. By publishing you give us permission to display it, generate share images and QR codes from it, and show it in search inside YConnect.
You must not publish someone else's identity as your own, illegal content, or claims you can't back up.
Adding someone else
You can create a YProfile for a business or a person you genuinely know — a tradesperson you used, a shop you like, someone you'd recommend. Use only information that is already public: a website, a business card, a sign, a flyer.
Don't add private phone numbers, home addresses, or anyone who has asked you not to. The person can claim the profile, edit it, or have it removed at any time, and we'll act on their request over yours.
Photos and location
When you upload a photo, we store it, and we use AI to read text on it (names, phone numbers, a business name). We show you what was read and you decide what goes on the profile.
Photos often carry hidden GPS location from the camera. We read it so a profile can show a rough area, and we always show you the place before saving. You can remove it. We never publish exact coordinates.
Only upload photos you took or have the right to use.
YVouches
A YVouch is your own honest account of working with someone, published with your name next to it. It is your opinion and your responsibility.
Don't write a vouch for yourself, don't pay for one, don't write one for someone you haven't dealt with. We remove vouches that are abusive, false, or clearly traded.
YIntros
When you request an intro, the name, email and message you type are sent to the person or business you asked about, so they can reply to you directly. We also keep a count of intros on their profile.
Don't use intros for sales spam. Repeated misuse gets the sender blocked.
Lists
A list groups YProfiles together — "plumbers I trust", "my suppliers". Anyone with the link can open a shared list. Only group people where it's fair and accurate to do so; a list implies a recommendation.
How AI is used
AI helps in three places: reading a public web page you paste, reading text on a photo you upload, and tidying a vouch into a readable sentence. It drafts — it never publishes.
Every field the AI produces is automatically audited before you see it: junk (page menus, cookie banners, undialable numbers) is thrown away, and anything uncertain is marked so you can check it. AI can still be wrong. You are the final editor.
Removing a profile
If a YProfile is about you, you can delete it yourself from the profile's manage screen, or email customerfirst@aimasterwork.com from any address shown on it. We remove it, usually within a few days and always within thirty.
Deleting a profile also deletes its photos, vouches and stats. That can't be undone.
What we store
We store what a profile needs: the text on it, uploaded photos, a rough location if you kept it, vouches, intro requests, and simple counts of views, shares and QR scans. Detailed event records are deleted after ninety days.
Your device also remembers your own links locally so you don't need an account — you can export or wipe that from Settings at any time.
We don't sell data. We use it to run YConnect and to send you the emails you asked for.
